Architecture Inspiration
Federal-style homes emerged after the American Revolution, defined by symmetry, centered entrances, and refined classical proportions. The home that inspired this piece was built in Jericho, Vermont around 1796 by Thomas Chittenden, Vermont’s first governor — a lasting example of early American Federal design.
